Willows Bistro in Winston Salem

We thoroughly enjoyed our food here. My husband and I shared the salmon & goat cheese truffle salad, and the scallop and hickory pork rib small plates. For dessert we had strawberry shortcake cheesecake. No crumbs were left on any plate. We liked it better than the lunch we had at a top fine dining restaurant in Philly (Vetri Cucina).

A nice cozy place with delicious food. We asked the chef for an appetizer of fried gren tomatoes that wasnt on the menu. I got a burger that was made to perfection.

This place is great! One of my favorite dinner spots. Always farm to table creative meals!

We really like this place. It can be a bit slow, which is hard for kids. However, it is because the quality is really high. I love eating on the porch when it is nice out.

Nice Art on the walls, wonderful music playing, and the food was the star! Our helpful waiter showed us through the menu so we could share house made warm chips with blue cheese, followed by a great salad, and fried green tomato sandwich BLT—but leave off the B for us vegetarians. My wife and I shared, so lunch was only about $25/for two (no alcohol). More food & a couple beers would double that pretty quickly. I loved it; can’t wait to return!

Amazing food selection here for brunch, lunch and dinner. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff who are very attentive. Love the starters like asparagus, the grilled romaine, fried chicken and more. Great desserts too.

This is a great local bistro. The atmosphere is interesting and fun set in a converted warehouse. The food is good & plentiful. They always have daily specials that could serve as their entire menu. Service is friendly and professional.

Waitress was absolutely amazing . She did her job to the fullest when we had something wrong with our meal. Chefs on the other hand . The New York strip my fiancée had for her birthday dinner was cut with the grain and a lot of fat left in it. That was the second steak that was brought to the table that was served rare suppose to have been medium rare . The first steak came to the table almost medium well. When u are paying 42 dollars for a plate make sure you can cook a steak. Yes I went to art institute of Chicago so I can cook .

Best upscale restaurant! Food ,quality and service is superb!

Great food kind of high end and alittle pricey. The menu is limited but the chef does make delicious changes weekly. If you like mixed drinks I suggested the purple haze very different using herb flavored vodka but super smooth. As far as food try the specials they have for the day you will not be disappointed.

Unique cocktails, great fresh local food and friendly people. Great seasonal menu specials and old menu favorites. Love the open kitchen to see the action and how beautiful all the food is. Unfortunately it's pretty inconsistent. I've had some great food here or overpriced average food and food soaked in oil. Stay away from any "market priced" dishes. $10 for a scallop is a reach here...

One of the best restaurants of Winston. Try the hummus because it's the best in town. Also, if they ever have the Snapper special with crawfish risotto while you're there, get it! So, so good.

The food was good, and it was fast. I sat outside and ate because I was due a cigar. I found the patio out front to be an excellent place to people watch. The waitress was easy going and knowledgable and I enjoyed the full experience.

Chef Travis Myers is a food god. Would trust him with any food. All the tastes.

Excellent restaurant. Great seafood, great beverages, good land food. Be careful of their wait times for food and service, Particularly at prime time.

Willows bistro was amazing. The atmosphere is very nice and rustic feeling. I was there for a business meeting and we were able to talk easily at a table of six and be heard. We had the house chips, calarmi and the hummus for apps. The hummus is absolutely amazing! I dare say it was one of the best I've ever had. I had the New York steak and it was great as well. I will be back again.

Willow's is a convenient spot if your in Old Salem. Farm to table ingredients, delicious but a bit pricey. I had a black bean burger with potatoe salad which was yummy and generously portioned. Service was fine but a couple things happened like no avocado on an avocado and goat cheese burger. And then cheese on my order when I asked for no cheese. Atmosphere was a renovated mill or train building with old beams and eclectic local art.

Great place! Great service! The food was awesome. It was all around a great experience - very unique menu and Incredibly tasty. Side dishes were superb - generous portions of homemade potato salad and sweet potato fries with minimal oil and perfectly seasoned!

By far one of the best restaurants in Winston! My salmon was perfect and my wife’s tuna was delicious. Consistently great drink specials too. Highly recommend.

Willow’s was a GREAT experience. My friend and I were seated with ease, and I really liked the atmosphere. Our waitress took great care of us and was extremely knowledgeable of the menu. She helped recommend certain dishes and explained the meals of the day. She also did a great job of always refilling our water. The food at Willows’s was fantastic. It was flavorful, creative, and appealing. Every aspect was done right. To start, my friend and I got the Brie appetizer with honey and relish, and it was amazing. I’d never had anything quite like it. For our main course, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and the amount of flavors and ingredients at play on the sandwich were excellent and very original. My friend got the duck, and it was done to perfection with a savory reduction. I highly recommend Willow’s for a finer causal dining experience. It’s in a great location too near downtown and Old Salem. Absolutely go and try it!

I have lived in Winston for ages and had never been here until today. Should have gone sooner!!!! Food was amazing!!! Highly recommend! Everything we had was superb and staff was friendly and helpful.

Great food....good and bad service experience

Worst service I've had all year. Crab cakes were good as were the mussels, risotto was too thick and plated with an odd schmeer that looked like a mistake, baked brie was served with garlic toasts that over powered the other more delicate flavors on the plate, fig and hazelnuts. Skip this place.

Been here a few times and it’s always a great experience! The waiters are super friendly and the food is great. We usually order off the specials board and get a glass of wine which makes for a wonderful meal. It’s a popular spot though so just be aware if you go during a lunch or dinner rush it can be a bit of a wait and a busy atmosphere.

Had a large group with work. The server was really fun and engaging. The food was delicious, and half priced bottles of wine was a bonus.

Delicious as always! The chips were cooked perfectly. They weren't greasy and we're very crispy.

It is a very nice place with exposed brick and local art on the wall. I happened to be there during graduation weekend so they were clearly a little swamped, but the service was not ideal. It feels like they could have used another server or two working. The wine was good and my steak was tasty although it was slightly over-sauced. It’s a good place for a meal, but it just wasn’t as fancy as I was expecting.

Service was great, food was fresh and delicious. Not fast food, but worth the wait. Prices fair for unusual and interesting food choices. Kids menu, too!

We have eaten here many times over the years and really enjoy it. They have great daily specials. The seafood dishes are always delicious.

If you come here you'd better look like you have a lot of money. I just spent 45 minutes waiting on an order at nobody would even speak to me while I sat there. And their kitchen looked completely disgusting too

An excellent restraint e living going to everyone we're in Winston Salem. The NY strip Steak is fabulous. The fried green tomato BLT it's out of this world. The fried chicken it's excellent. You won't go wrong at Willow's!

The thing that makes this place so incredible is the food and service. the food is out of this world good and I appreciate the fact that they make multiple daily specials that are next level. It's not just the specials that are great but their burgers is as good as ANY in Winston Salem. Great place!

Excellent customer service. Friendly staff. Nice outside seating. Grits were delicious. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was over cooked but doughy still. A little greasy. Waffle was delicious and the coffee was a real wake up call!! My friend said shrimp and grits were delicious but sent the calamari back. (Greasy). The crab cakes were good but I really loved the mixed greens with it. I would go again but not have anything from the fryer.

This is our designated date place. Love what Chef Travis and his team do here. On our last trip I had the rabbit and scallops over linguine and it was incredible, but there were five other dishes I would have also loved to have. Just means we'll have to go back ASAP.

Incredible food, great service, wonderful atmosphere! This place is a hidden gem. Locally sourced goodness with fantastic cocktails. We had the baked Brie to start and knew we had found a great place. We had the crab cakes and filet and wished we had room for the fresh made desserts. Cannot wait to go back.

This place is fantastic. The wait staff were extremely accommodating to us, the food was great and the whole place was very welcoming. I wouldn't forgive myself if I didnt come back here again. Definitely a nice spot to check out!
